AECORE at Milano Design Week

News published on March 24, 2017

Milano Design Week is the most important event for the design, which every year invades Milan on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile. In this creative atmosphere, design is intertwined with the urban context, creating a unique event.

In this context, Alfatherm presents the exhibition / event:
AECORE - The Alternative Laminate: innovation, ecology and trends for the new architecture

The choice of Milano Design Week emphasizes the work of research that made of AECORE the unique and innovative thermoplastic laminate specially designed for the world of architecture and design, thank also to its capability of combining aesthetics and functionality with the respect for the environment. AECORE is also characterized by a strong attention to environmental sustainability; a concrete example of this is represented by the informative multifunction totem placed in the area of the exhibition. Designed by the architect Fabrizio Bianchetti according to eco-design criteria, the totems, fully recyclable, are coated with AECORE INVICTA, a surface made with a resistant and long lasting thermoplastic laminate for outdoor use, combined with a fiberglass support coming from recycling.
Thanks to improvements to innovative techniques such as the OLED 3D printing or the emboss-in-register technology, which enhances the wood effect, and to the availability of a very wide range of surfaces, designs and colors, AECORE is customizable according to the project.

The exhibition, designed by the architect Fabrizio Bianchetti for AECORE, enhances the material’s expressive power by proposing “a colored curtain that “cross” the borders of the exhibition and, overcoming the space’s geometric limits, exits outside with a wall of colors, surfaces and expressions, playing with shapes.
A wall that in this case is not a border, limit or constraint, but the means to build a new, free and colorful  architecture."
